Massive protest has been planned at Maoist hotbed Bastar to be led by thousands of local, regional, state and national journalists on December 21, demanding a law to protect scribes, who are stuck between Maoists and police at conflict zone in Chhattisgarh. The protests come in wake of arrests of two regional journalists in Bastar on charges of supporting Maoists. Regional journalist Santosh Yadav, 29, who worked as freelancer for newspapers was arrested on September 29 and another news agent Somaru Nag on July 16.
